The children were excited to play with the dolls house that had been delivered. We sat down together to open it and then learn how to put it together.

We looked at the instructions and followed them step by step, The children finding all the wooden pieces that we needed. Then with some guidance the children had a turn screwing it together using the Allen key. We talked about matching the shapes, so the Allen key fit in and then using our muscles to twist it around watching it get more secure each time.

Lots of fine motor muscle development and problem solving skills were used throughout the experience and the children were proud of their contribution at the end.
