This week the children have been listening to and enjoying some fairytales.
On Wednesday they sat with an educator and as a group narrated a story while it was being illustrated for them.
They had some familiar characters make an appearance, some heroes, some villains. There was such delight and excitement as it was their story to tell, taking turns to create what came next.
This was such a rich learning experience as the children negotiated the plot, used their verbal language to communicate and used their imaginations.
We have now displayed their story in the room so the children can keep revisiting the story they created.
