Did you know that National Story Telling Day happened this week? We were very excited to take part in our Kindy room because lots and lots of children around Australia were taking part at the same time!!
The librarian came to visit us from Forrestfield Library with a special story pack. She told us that all the children in Australia would be reading the same book as us, “Hickory Dickory Dash.” We all sang the nursery rhyme together before a special visitor popped out…. The mouse from the rhyme (A puppet of course, not a real mouse hehe)
After this, we heard the special story book which was really good. We love to hear new stories. Before the librarian left, she gave us all a very special reading bag that we could keep with information on how to join the library. We cannot wait to keep reading new books!!
