Last week we helped sort through all our generous donations for our local women’s refuge.

We thank our families and community members who dropped things into the centre. We worked together to fill a large washing basket full of necessities, self-care and pamper items for the moment in need this Mother’s Day

We had lots of fun and the items sparked many imaginations, there was a floor of “what is that?” and “what does that do?” as we rummaged through the boxes.

We use experiences such as these to help us learn about differences and similarities in people, emotions such as sympathy and empathy and to help the children feel connected to one another and the community.

From all of us here at Sonas Huntingdale, we hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day on Sunday.
