Here at Sonas Bayswater, we have been focusing on belonging, whether it’s belonging at day-care, home or in the community.

Last week we had a delivery from Ikea with lots of new furniture, plants, and toys for our centre.

A group of children were interested in helping myself and Liz open all the boxes and unpack it. This helps them feel a sense of belonging in their childcare setting as they are here nearly every day, and they can help put things where they feel like it goes, or they have a say in how they would like the centre to look.

On Wednesday our maintenance man Ross came in to help us put together all our new furniture. We all got to help drill the screws into the holes and use the hammer to hammer in the dowels. Some of us got to try out ear muffs.
