Today we explored our STEM room and we had so much fun at the working station.
Before we began exploring, we had a discussion about safety. We said that we need to be careful and use the tools correctly because they are real tools. We do not hit our friends with the tools and we only use them to fix things. Some of the children said “that’s very silly if we hit our friends with the tools, they might need to go to the hospital.”
Next we spoke about putting our goggles on and our vest to protect ourselves, especially our eyes. The children started putting on their vests and goggles and got their tools from the basket. They explored the tools and used it on the buffet table.
We have decided together that this will be an ongoing project in our STEM room to upcycle the buffet into our new workshop bench.
