This fortnight one of our objectives was ‘Child uses matching and sorting of objects or people to understand similar and different characteristics.’
A learning invitation for matching corresponding objects with letter puzzle pieces was set up for the children to explore.
The children used trial and error in sorting out the puzzle pieces, while also finding the matching object that matched, this allowed to extend on letter recognition and understanding the matching characteristics between the puzzle piece and objects provided.
