Following our exploration of buoyancy, this afternoon we made an attempt at making our own floating boats out of aluminium foil.
First, our friends made boats with no instruction, just to see what they came up with. After most of the first boats sank, we talked about why that might have happened, and a few of our friends pointed out that water got into the boats.
After this, we talked about making a boat that wouldn’t take on water and gave it another go with a much better success rate!
