It is part of our daily ritual for our children and Educators to visit and check-on our fish friend named Watermelon. The Educator and children noticed that Watermelon was feeling rather lonely and decided to make posters and pretend fish using leaves to decorate Watermelon’s home.
Together with the Educator the children engaged in rich meaningful discussion on caring for our fish friend through observing how to clean the fish tank and the correct amount of food to feed Watermelon.
Our children of all ages had fun creating colourful work of art. In addition, the learning experiences provided opportunities for children to feel a sense of responsibility, connecting contributing to their world.
