Objective: Child demonstrates awareness that spoken language is composed of smaller segments of sounds.

Throughout the whole day, the older children had great opportunities to engage with the playdough and letters. Small groups at a time, sharing playdough and assisting one another to find letters. Educators assisted children by writing their names, allowing the children to have a visual.

Scrambling through all the letters and placing the ones they can see/ need on to their playdough, stamping it down.
