The babies have been showing a strong interest in colours. So we thought we would begin a learning journey into growing our colour knowledge.
We set up some sparkly red playdough with a range of red collage materials which the children could use their imaginations to create whatever they wanted. As the children were busy squishing and squashing the dough, we had conversations to prompt the children’s verbal communication.
We practiced saying the word red and used descriptive words to express what our senses could discover.
