Sonas Baldivis South – Belonging in the Nest 

Last week in the Nest we updated our belonging butterflies to be displayed. 

We placed the children’s butterflies into a plastic bag and squeezed paint inside. The children assisted by choosing paint colours for their educator to put into their bags.

After the educators sealed the bags, they were given back to the children to create their butterflies. The children scrunched and squashed their butterflies. They watched as all the paint moved around creating art on their butterflies, exploring their sensory and cognitive skills, manipulating the paint onto the butterfly.
