At Sonas Coolbellup this week we extended on our interest in boats as we investigated, explored, and problem solved as we competed in a boat race.
We started off by investing what type of environment would work best, testing the boats on some alfoil on a hill, then the slide and finally the riverbed.
We worked out that with a bit of a push or a slop in the surface along with some water the boats managed to race. When racing along the riverbed some boats got stuck while others raced ahead.
The children showed a lot of excitement and enjoyment as they participated in the activity.
