In celebration of Easter, we made an Easter Tuff Tray that children can explore and play.
The children helped gather all the materials we needed for the activity such as eggs, nests, bunnies, coloured rice, gumnuts and the tray. The children helped each other and put all the materials on the tray the way they wanted. They named one of the bunnies Peter Rabbit.
As the children put and set up the tray, we counted how many chicks we have, how many nests, eggs, bunnies and gumnuts. We also identify the colour of each egg.
One of our friends told us a story about the bunny who laid a wrong egg. We asked him why it’s a wrong egg? He then cracked the egg and chicks came out instead of bunnies.
