Over the last fortnight, the children in the Art Studio have been engaged in a dramatic play centre all about construction.

The area in the studio contains construction dress-ups, trucks, themed books, pretend tools, magnetic tiles, and recycled boxes.

The children use their imagination and creativity to build, construct, and deconstruct with the pretend tools. This has been a great opportunity for the children to develop and improve their social skills and learn to cooperate with others in pretend play experiences.

We have also begun learning the names of the different tools and construction vehicles and will be adding different construction books and visual and written flash cards to the studio to extend the children’s language development based on this particular interest.
