Happy Holi! The children at Sonas Bayswater have been learning all about the Hindu festival of Holi.
It is a time for fun, dancing, singing, and throwing powdered paint. While mixing coloured powder paint with plan flour as a group we discussed what Holi is and who celebrates it.
Once all the colours were mixed the children lined up on the grass and ran back and forth while the educators thrown the powder paint in the air. When all the powder paint was gone the children shouted look at me.
Objectives: children respond to diversity with respect, children broaden their understanding of the world in which they live, strengthen gross motor skills and children demonstrate spatial awareness and orient themselves, moving around/ through their environment.
