The children at Sonas Bayswater have been engaging in pouring activities to mix colours together and discuss the outcome. They used the colours red and blue, and each child had a turn at pouring them into another container, they were then asked what colour it made when mixed, to which they all shouted purple!

Objective:  Teaching the children colour recognition/mixing primary colours to make new colours, encouraging enthusiasm for participating in inquiry-based activities, embedding the importance of sharing and turn-taking, and giving them a chance to experiment and experience the pleasures and benefits of shared learning exploration.
