This morning we remained indoors due to the warm weather; therefore, we have set up a painting experience where the children can explore their senses and create a painting.

This seemed to be a calming experience for the children, as they seemed to slow their bodies down and immerse themselves in their artwork. The children used the paintbrushes to create a variety of textures as well as painted their hands independently to create handprints.

This morning’s experience focuses on developing the children’s imagination and creativity through painting, as well as colour recognition, fine motor strength and development, and sensorial exploration.
