Sonas Brabham –  Kids In The Kitchen – Fruit and Cheese Platter

Objective: child shows confidence in their own abilities through their relationships with others.

Today was the first day of our summer menu. Our kids in the kitchen, in alignment with our new menu, were chopping fruit and cheese.

There was plenty of communication with the children throughout this experience, i.e., how to hold the knife correctly, what fruit we enjoyed eating, have we tried different types ofcheese, and, why was watermelon so messy to cut?

The children did a wonderful job chopping their own portions of fruit and cheese for afternoon tea.
