Here at Sonas Coolbellup our babies’ room has had a growing interest in sensory play. We introduced sensory play through spontaneous experiences, we then realised just how much joy it brought to everyone including the educators. Through our recent sensory journey, we explored, play dough, goop, themed sensory trays (farm themed in photos) different coloured and textured pasta’s, we even made our very own edible paint!
In our sensory journey we used all our senses and we continued to strengthen our verbal and non-verbal communication in small group settings. We cannot wait to continue our wonderful journey.
This is all to help stimulate a child’s five senses, touch, taste, sight, sound, and smell.
