Sonas Coolbellup – Salt Dough

The children in the afternoon were involved in making our Christmas ornaments.

Today, we formed some snowmen and stars out of dough, cut them out, baked them, and then decorated them.

We are going to try more shapes as the children had a fun experience with the ornaments and they were all very enthusiastic to make them along with their peers.

We just used salt, dough and water for them to make the dough and also decorated the ornaments later after they dried, The children had a choice to select their size and the shape of the ornaments.

Learning: The children enhanced their fine motor skills along with creative imaginary and social sharing skills during the experience.
