Sonas Huntingdale – How many body parts can you see?

Is that bug an insect?
Can it be?
Count the body parts.
Are there three?
Count the legs.
Are there six that you see?
On its head
Are there two antennae?
If you answer yes, then we can agree.
That bug is an insect. ABSOLUTELY! 

This week at Sonas we have been collecting all the bugs coming from the wet ground.  We have recycled little containers to make into bug enclosers making sure they have grass and leaves to eat.  We even got to create our own bugs by using paper plates, paint and pipe cleaners. 

The best part of searching for bugs was making binoculars from recycling paper towel tubes to get up close to see the different bugs.
