This morning, a few boxes were set out with a round of tape for the children to create whatever they pleased.
A few of our older children had decided to create a car wash for the bikes; this included taping the boxes together to create walls and using a deconstructed box as a door. An ‘Open/Closed’ sign was also created and hung up so the other children could see they were open.
A bucket of soapy water and a few blue cloths were waiting in the ‘office’ of the car wash, waiting for their first customer. The children had also asked an educator to create some money to use at the car wash, and with some assistance from educators, the children could provide money for the service. All of the children took turns being the customer and the employee.
