This week we have been celebrating NAIDOC Week with lots of activities around it.

We’ve been crafting boomerangs and colouring our sand and listened to lots of dreamtime stories. The children (and educators) enjoyed getting their faces painted to get ready to celebrate the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week is an important celebration embedded in our curriculum and Reconciliation Action Plan and gives our children the great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

For the rest of the week our children are practicing their welcome to the country song to sing together on our stage outside.

We are also very excited for a couple of our parents visiting the center to join and host activities.

Thank you so much, we love having you join the fun and share your knowledge. 😊
