Children gathered in our STEAM studio to participate in a programmed experience of creating signs for our numbered zones.

As a continuation of yesterday’s experience, where we went around our studio and numbered our static provocations, today we came together to our table to create our signs.

Teaming up into groups of 2, the pairs worked together to decorate the numbered zone they were assigned. Children designed on our pages collaboratively as they discussed certain things to add that identify it to its zone, such as drawing numbers on our pages for our numbers table, play-dough and utensils for the play-dough station, etc.

This experience encourages the children to explore their creativity as they decorate their social skills as they work collaboratively, their cognitive abilities as they remember what the zones are used for, their fine motor skills, and their hand-eye coordination.
