Objective: Today Sophie took the children into the art room and spoke about our plan to make the instruments.
The children remembered our plan and what different instruments we were going to make.
All the children took it in turns to pour the rice and other materials into the bottles to make shakers.
Next, they used acorns and, whilst fostering their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, had assistance to staple the edges of the plates together, creating a different-shaped and sounded shaker.
They used cups and containers to make drums and used pencils and pop sticks as the drumsticks.
The children showed enthusiasm through smiles and communication as they were able to choose the instruments they wanted to create.
