Science provides the children with many skills, such as inquiry, hypothesizing what will happen, collaboration, and the sharing of skills and knowledge to trial and explore with various mediums to obtain a result.

As you can see, the children were invested, all willing participants anticipating with excitement what was about to occur: would the balloon fill with air or would we need to add more bicarb or vinegar? Was it going to be a success?

Either way, it was a great learning experience that captured children’s inquisition, thought processes, and to think in ways that support science understandings.
