This week in the kindy room we have been doing some learning about the environment and the things that live in the world around us. We were very excited when Belinda announced we would be doing some gardening and getting a little mucky.
First, we took all the green weeds out of our special garden beds. We took turns making a little hole and then popped a very tiny sunflower seed inside. You have to cover it with the dirt so you cannot see it anymore and then give it a big drink of water to help it grow big and strong like us kindy kids!! Plants also need lots of sunshine to grow.
We cannot wait to see how tall our sunflowers can get. Maybe they will be as tall as us, or our educators!!! We will recycle our leftover water at meal times to give the flowers a drink every single day! It is very exciting!
